Yardley Research Group employs a methodology for “bottom up” planning that begins with departmental or program faculty. The plan results in an overarching vision for graduate education and research, the development of strategic initiatives, an assessment of each program’s capacity for graduate students, and a financing plan. In several cases, this process has fostered a restructuring of the way that an institution delivers graduate education to students.
