The principals of the Yardley Research Group were the editors of the Journal for Higher Education Strategists, a quarterly devoted to the study of colleges and universities in the context of their environments. The journal addressed research and technology transfer, institutional infrastructure, institutional productivity, curriculum and programming, and market assessment and planning.
